Itinerary

Morning pickup at your Luoyang hotel or Longmen station. Begin at White Horse Temple — the main halls, Qiyun Pagoda and the quiet temple grounds. After lunch, continue to Longmen Grottoes for a guided walk along the west cliffs (Fengxian Temple, Wanfo Cave, Lotus Cave), then cross the Yi River to the east cliffs and Xiangshan Temple for a panoramic view back over the carvings. If time allows, a short stop in the lantern-lit old town before returning to your hotel.

About 8–9 hours. The order can be swapped to catch Longmen at its quietest, and everything can be adjusted to your pace.
