Peonies are in full bloom in Luoyang, in central China's Henan Province. More than 50,000 are flourishing in one botanical garden, attracting crowds of tourists. Free online floral shows are held daily and will last until the flowers wither. Luoyang has been growing peonies for more than 1,500 years. The species was a favorite of royal families for its luxuriant blossoms, which are said to symbolize prosperity and wealth.
